YOUTH PROFESSIONAL ENSEMBLE
Youth Professional Ensemble is an audition-only, educational offering for advanced students who are looking to strengthen their performance skills from top professionals in the industry. Each session includes intensive training in vocal, dance, and acting techniques. Keep an eye out on our mainstage, where many of our Youth Professionals are featured!

is in 11th grade. His favorite credits include: Cinderella (Prince Topher), The Addams Family (Lucas Beineke), Junie B. Jones: The Musical (Herb), and Mary Poppins Jr. (Bert) at VCT, You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown (Schroder) and The Little Mermaid (Flounder) at P&HCC, as well as High School Musical (Chad Danforth) at Mill Mountain Theatre. Ben is a member of the Youth Professional Ensemble here at VCT and Dance Conservatory at MMT. This summer Ben had the opportunity to go to NYC and study with Broadway stars and Veterans at BroadwayEvolved’s summer intensive. Ben would like to thank his mom and the entire Virginia Children’s Theatre staff for their continued trust in him and for pushing him to be the best he can be.
is a sophomore at Cornerstone Classical Academy. She has enjoyed being a student, camper, and camp counselor here at VCT. Over the years, Alivia has participated in several productions with VCT, including Aladdin, Jr., Mary Poppins, Jr., Peter Pan, Jr., Oz: A Staged Concert, The Addams Family, Cinderella, Apologies, Madagascar: A Musical Adventure and most recently, Brand New Day. She would like to thank her family for supporting her in all of her theater endeavors.
is a 16 year old homeschooler, who lives on a farm in Franklin County. Anna is one of this year's Sarabeth Hammond scholarship recipients and is SO thankful for that honor. Some of Anna’s favorite roles include Elsa in Frozen, Jr., Lucy in You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown (P&HCC Patriot Players), Cinderella in Cinderella and Zelda, Candy Hammernose, etc. in Madagascar (VCT). Anna would like to thank VCT, her friends, family and the LORD her Savior.
ANN MARIE THORELL
a senior at Hidden Valley High School, has been performing at VCT for 10 years. Her favorite productions include Cinderella, The Addams Family, Junie B. Jones (VCT) and Romeo and Juliet(MMT). She is a member of the Youth Professional Ensemble at VCT and the Dance Conservatory at MMT. She is also a student of the Kevin Jones Performing Arts Studio. When Ann Marie is not performing, you can find her eating muffins and watching crime shows.
YOUTH PROFESSIONAL ENSEMBLE: Rising
is 13 years old and has been performing with Virginia Children’s Theatre for 7 years. Her most recent credits include Brand New Day (Youth Lead Singer), Moana, Jr. (Moana), Peter Pan, Jr. (Wendy), Cinderella(Ensemble/Puppeteer) and The Addams Family (Nun Ancestor). Campbell is grateful to VCT for providing opportunities for kids like her to learn and grow in their love of Performing Arts. She would like to thank her family and friends for their continuous love and support. Campbell would also like to give a special thanks to her voice coach and mentor, Brynn Scozzari (Lily), for believing in her and seeing beyond the surface.
is a senior at North Cross. He is an aspiring artist and filmmaker and enjoys participating in the theatre program at his school as well as doing film-lab outside of school. Nico is very excited and grateful to be working with VCT!
is an 11th grader at Northside High School. Recent credits with VCT: Apologies (Jennifer), Peter Pan, Jr. (Smee), Moana, Jr. (costume designer). Other VCT credits include Cinderella, Oz: A Staged Concert, Mary Poppins, Jr., and Annie. Asher would like to thank Brynn Scozzari for being her role model in the arts.
is 13 years old and from Martinsville, VA. Sh ehas been with Virginia Children's Theatre for about 2 years now and has been in recent productions such as: Madagascar: A Musical Adventure (Ensemble), Cinderella (Lady of the Court, Cinderella u/s), Oz: A Staged Concert (Dance Corp), and Mary Poppins, Jr. (Jane Banks). Some other credits include, Seussical Kids (Cat in the Hat), You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown (Snoopy).
