1. YOU VISIT US (Performance, Tour & Workshop Package)
Bring your troop to the Virginia Children’s Theatre performance and receive a backstage tour, a meet and greet with one of our professional actors, and an introduction theatre workshop!
Topics Covered in Workshop: Parts of the Stage, Pantomime, Improvisation, Actor Warm-Up, Team Building.
Cost: $25 per student ($15 ticket price & $10 workshop). Includes VIP seating and ticket for the performance, tour, meet and greet, and workshop.
2. WE VISIT YOU (Troop Meeting Workshop)
A Virginia Children’s Theatre teaching artist will visit your troop during one of your meetings! Scouts will participate in a 1 hour theatre workshop to fulfill badge requirements!
Workshop Topics Available: Storytelling, Introduction to Theatre, Improvisation, Musical Theatre, Theatre Team Building
Cost: $100 per troop meeting.
GROUP GUIDELINES:
- Choose your play, your performance date and time, and book early, bookings fill fast!
- Each show runs approx. 1 hour followed by the activity provided.
- Plan to arrive 15 minutes prior to the show time to allow us time to seat you and for your scouts to take any last minute restroom breaks. If you are lost or are running late please call 540-400-7795.
- Turn off all cell phones and pagers. No cameras or recording devices can be used.
- The leader at the head of your group should check in with an VCT representative before entering the theater.
- Weather: In the event of a weather related cancellation, your group will be credited and every attempt will be made to reschedule your trip for the current show. If no reschedule can be made your group will be credited and will be allowed to make-up the performance for one of our other shows that season.
