Virginia Children’s Theatre offers a paid professional summer Internship program in Theatre Education each year that allows qualified college students currently studying theatre a rich and challenging experience within a thriving professional theatre company. This internship is an excellent springboard into a professional career in the arts. All interns will be integrally involved in the daily operations of running summer theatre programming for students age 3 through 12th grade, working on various productions, camps, outreach, and classes.  Interns also attend workshops with professional artists in Roanoke to enhance their educational experience. Interns will also have the opportunity to explore their unique interests by working in a multitude of different facets such as music, dance, stagecraft and even running lights or designing props and costumes!

Pay will be $300 per week without providing housing.
Pay will be $200 per week with provided housing in Roanoke.
